My name is Bre and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I am a native of Colorado Springs and am happy to call it my home. I lived in California for about 8 years where I stumbled into this field. About 16 years ago I got a job with a company working with children with Autism and fell in love with this field, individuals with special needs, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) because of the positive impact it can make. After being in the field for two years I finally decided “what I wanted to be when I grew up” and pursued my degree in Education. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from National University in Early Childhood Education and then sought my Master’s Degree in Education and Administration as well as completed the necessary coursework for my BCBA through Florida Institute of Technology. In 2014 I received my BCBA. I have had so many wonderful opportunities over the years to work in various arenas of the field including the experience of helping start an Autism Program in a non-public school, work in several centers, as well as the homes of hundreds of individuals.
I decided to open Integrity ABA in March of 2017 because I saw a need in the Colorado Springs area for a dedicated and individualized company that strives to make a real difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. I desired to create a company that worked alongside families giving hope and providing exemplary services with enthusiastic, high quality therapists. It was also extremely important to me that I create a company that staff would want to work at and stay around for the long-term. I LOVE my team and the kids we have the honor to work with!
I enjoy the Colorado outdoors but am a home body at heart. I spend most of my free time with my family. I am blessed to have the best husband in the world, a beautiful daughter born in October of 2018 that keeps us busy and laughing all the time, and a little baby boy born in December 2020 that is growing way too fast!
As a regular education teacher in the early 2000’s seeing the shift toward inclusion in schools, I decided to go back to school to get my master’s degree in special education with a concentration in low-incidence disabilities. By the end of grad school, I no longer saw this degree preparing me to be a better classroom teacher but had instead found where I belonged. I love getting to know people and find out what makes them unique. One of my favorite things about this field is making meaningful connections with families and having one on one time with clients that I may not have been able to have consistently in the school setting. There is great joy in seeing goals met and personalities bloom! Air Force life brought frequent moves, so I turned to volunteering in my kids’ schools in their special education departments, as a resource and reading intervention volunteer and with families and friends who needed respite and support navigating the education system and IEPs. This year will end 25 years as an active-duty family, and I’m ready to re-start my career! I found Integrity ABA through seeing the amazing care, support and growth the interventionists brought to dear friends of ours and their amazing daughter. I am excited to continue learning from this great group of caring therapists. After being stationed here for over 5 years, my husband, three precious and wildly different kids are thrilled to call Colorado HOME. I’m an avid tennis player and have recently started playing pickleball. My family enjoys exploring state and national parks, live music, and all kinds of sports and games.
